    This is my 3rd Kindle 8.9 HD FIRE and am pleased with price, performance, storage, HD quality and ease of use. My wife and I both love the tablet/game features. They go with us everywhere. Works great as an office wireless video surveillance monitor.

    Great screen; excellent features, and very good price.

    Debated on getting a Kindle, but this one was in v.g. condition, and I won the auction at a great price..Now, over a year later, it is still working perfectly. Really excellent picture and resolution! My primary use is Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime, plus the occasional Kindle ebook. It functions beautifully in all departments!

    Great for Kindle books

    I have a 10" Fire I use for Netflix and Prime. But the Kindle book app has limited display options. I spend 10 hours a day on the computer for work, I needed something easier on the eyes for reading my Kindle Unlimited books at night. This 8" has the soft white light background option that I feel is easier on my eyes.

    Love my Kindle!

    I absolutely love the Kindle 8.9. I have actually bought 3. My first one I had for two years and accidently dropped it on the tile in my house, it hit the corner of the tablet really hard. The only problem with it is a bit of broken LCD bleeding at the top. Still fully functional. My 2nd to replace the first. My 3rd to trade off when I get into a reading streak and keep forgetting to plug it in. (And to loan to my kid.) The screen is the perfect size, especially as my eyes are not focusing as well as they used to. The colors on the screen are brilliant and the weight is good enough that I can hold this up while reading in bed. I take my Kindle everywhere.

    I'm getting used to it, after only having a Kindle for so long, love what I can do now!

    I put off getting a tablet, but I find I can do things now my old desktop just couldn't handle well, like watching videos. What a big difference! I waited until I could find what I wanted (a basic tablet for me) at a price I wanted to pay, and I found it. Very happy with it all around. :D
