It does what it can do with an N64 image and a large 70+ inch screen. The picture quality really isn't bad and Mario KArt 64 is much more clear. Thank you!

Works well...... except on a pal GameCube.

This product is great. It works fine with my ntsc SNES and ntsc N64. HOWEVER I cannot get it to work with my pal GameCube. I have a theory regarding this. I'm guessing the hyperkin cable uses the s-video signal from the console.....the issue is the s video on the Pal GameCube is disabled (works on ntsc GameCubes). This is just a theory tho, it could be my cable. This isn't much of a issue as the GameCube has the has got a few dedicated hdmi converters. On the ntsc snes, colours are slightly washed out. Any on screen movement looses it's crispness. But overall it does the job. I primarily bought it for my SNES.

    Works but

Had high hopes for this product. Very disappointed after I found out the sound goes in and out and sometimes none at all. Picture quality is great. I tried different power bricks and micro USBs and the sound is still broken. Cheaper to just buy converter box for rca to hdmi

  • Amazing, for the price.

This is a great inexpensive option to get an HDMI connection with the N64. PROS: This cable does make the picture clearer, but it is not as extreme a difference as the N64 HDMI addon. Nonetheless, it was a significant difference to me. Definitely less blurry. Eliminates button input lag. This is a HUGE relief for people like me who cannot stand the high pitched hissing of CRT televisions. For those of you who do not know what I am talking about, any screen used with an N64 that is not CRT ("tube") technology will have a small, but significant delay between the press of a button on a controller translating to a designated action in-game. For games like Harvest Moon 64, this input lag ruins activities such as fishing. Inexpensive and hassle free. No expensive chips, complex soldering, ...

  • Came for the N64, Stayed for the Gamecube

I've literally been waiting for someone to make one of these cables that works for the Nintendo 64. The 64 is one of the few retro systems whose games I can't play in HD.I have HD clones for the SNES and an EON GCHD for the Gamecube. But, I didn't have anything for the 64 before now. My NTSC-U Nintendo 64 looks great running through this cable. Is it as good as the solder in kit that's in the hundreds? Of course not. But, it works. I've tried other solutions, including running both composite and S-video through one of those video "upscalers." It doesn't look this good. I didn't try composite because my 1080p HDTV won't work with 240p running through composite. (I've tried it with the PS1) Through this cable, the picture is good and the text looks much better than I've seen it with other ...

  • 3-in-1 HDMI Cable

These days, it is good to have a clear output on LCD TV. However, the AV family is not allowed, and the SFC and GaCube are good.
