A perfectly sized and weighted mobile of quality build. Superior audio for those receiving voice calls and for the user, especially good when using the speaker. A strongly built phone ideal for work, this unit replaces my first one purchased in 2004 which I recently lost. This phone works fine for email but is no longer useful for browsing as the Symbian OS is far too out of date; however, it can still connect to a PC using Nokia PC Suite and to a notebook via bluetooth for internet use. This phone fits in you hand and pocket easily and the screen won't break if you sit on it or drop it. If the phone is stolen then it probably won't be too much of a security worry as you won't be doing banking or purchasing with it. Quality lenses front and back so useful for site photos etc. I tried a few android type modern smartphones for a while and was appalled by the lack of quality - the Nokia 6680 is not a throw away item and was never built to be.Read full review

The Nokia 6680 is a 3G handset by Nokia, running Symbian operating system, with Series 60 version 2 user interface. The device features Bluetooth, a 1.3 megapixel fixed focus camera, front VGA (0.3 megapixel) video call camera, hot swappable Dual Voltage Reduced Size MMC (DV-RS-MMC) memory expansion card support, stereo audio playback and a 2.1", 176x208, 18-bit (262,144) color display with automatic brightness control based on the environment. Announced in February 2005, they reached the market in May 2005. This is old but I like this Mobile model.
There are indeed excellent phones with most known brands may it be Sony Ericsson, Htc, Samsung and many more as when it comes to changing the brand as user becomes unfair to appoint any as excellent and therefore average is according to my research a reasonable rating for Nokia. Nokia are different since they allow a greater magnitude of their, if you like a free platform for all & many to exploit may it be apps or own use with record keeping if not archiving on-call video files while communicating and those are a few of many possible features of the Nokia 6680. There is also a compatibility for GPS none the less one would need a GPS receiver as this is a min since many new models have this integrated within the hand-set. Finally I'll be auctioning my Sony Ericsson T600 as announced on my profile image providing the Nokia 6680 which I won in the auction can be made adequate. I found the Sony Ericsson T600 to be ideal in size as I could carry this in my little pocket on the bottom end of my left hand sleeve pocket. It is a minus for the Sony Ericsson T600 which does not have the wireless feature none the less this is not a direct comparison with the Nokia 6680 since Nokia 6680 is well featured and I'll be trying the wireless feature for colour printing since my printer is compatible according to specification.Read full review
You would think that a modern "smart phone" which is relatively new would have all the features you need at the touch of a button which in fairness it generally does. You can even change the shortcuts to features like the internet, contacts etc fairly easily. The problems come when you want to add a photo or a ringtone to one of your contacts or, come to think of it, any of the basic functions of your average mobile phone. The menus and options are far from straightforward and do not make a whole lot of sense. On the plus side it has all the features you would expect with a good resolution screen and a protected main camera, it even has the bonus of a small front facing camera for video calls. The keypad also isn't too small for those like myself who don't have tiny fingers. Having upgraded from a Samsung E250 I wasn't massively impressed by the features on display given the quality/price ratio of the Samsung so I could only recommend this as a major upgrade for a seriously old phone. Top tip, wait until the latest generation of iphones and blackberrys etc become alot cheaper if you want to get a real upgrade.Read full review
At first I was a little taken back at the size of the phone, being larger than the Nokia classic 3110c but the more I used it the more it grew on me, you can feel the quality of the phone when handling it and as all the Nokia's I've had the battery life is excellent. It has many features half of which I probably won't use but they're there if you want them.Compared to the 3110c the software doesn't flow as easily, the 3110c was virtually a plug and play device, transferring files to the PC was easy, whereas I'm still trying to figure out how to transfer files to amd from my PC with 6680. I had to purchase a memory card as I didn't get one with it, it seems necessary to have one as the phone memory is used up quickly. The camera function is simple to use and I like the larger screen display, when you open the camera lens it goes straight into camera mode which is handy. The speaker is nice and loud and is very good clear sound but not as good as the 3110c in my opinion. Overall though it's a very good quality phone and if you don't mind the slightly larger size, then you'll love it, otherwise if you want something a little smaller, then the 3110c is another great alternative.Read full review
