    BEWARE! EXTENDER DOES NOT WORK WITH 71000-A AS STATED

    The electrical prongs that are a part of my handle are NOT removable, so I was not able to use this converter ring. In order to adapt your handle to use C batteries with this ring , you MUST BE ABLE TO REMOVE THE ELECTRICAL CHARGING PRONGS from your handle. If you have a 71000-A handle, this ring will not be helpful to you. You MUST HAVE A 71000-C HANDLE so that you can unscrew the electrical prongs and then replace them with this tube extender. Do yourself a favor and check to see if your handle's prongs will unscrew before you order this non-returnable item!

    Grateful for the battery converter ring.

    The adapter worked as described, but is a compromise

    This adapter does exactly what it is supposed to. The scope does work with C batteries, but the light is dimmer, as the C cells can't supply the same voltage as the proprietary battery. As a backup, it seems fine to me, but as a long term solution, it isn't ideal.
