Larger than I expected
I have small hands and with the finger grooves, it pushes my hand down the grip so the web of my hand is not up against the curve of backstrap like the original allowed. It also is a longer grip so you have more for your little finger. It fits nicely. When I purchased the gun originally, I did so because it just felt like it was made just for my hand. Everything was so natural. I don't like the plastic inserts on original is why I tried these, but after trying them, I never even fired the gun with them. I put the original ones back. Couldn't get past the the crunchy plastic sound
First off I love Hogue products...have several of there grips and sleeves on my firearms.....saw the review's and thought this would be a no brainer for my Ruger sp101....after installation I found that everytime I griped the revolver I heard the crunchy plastic sounds which composes the inside of the grip....it was so bad that I put the factory grip back on......oh well at around 23 bucks I'll chuck it in the drawer with all the other discarded partsFirst off I love Hogue products...have several of there grips and sleeves on my firearms.....saw the review's and thought this would be a no brainer for my Ruger sp101....after installation I found that everytime I griped the revolver I heard the crunchy plastic sounds which composes the inside of the grip....it was so bad that I put the factory grip back on......oh well at around 23 bucks I'll chuck it in the drawer with all the other discarded parts

Transforms the SP101. Awesome inexpensive mod.
This is a very inexpensive must have modification for your Ruger. Hogue made a quality grip at a very good price. It is much more comfortable and helps the gun feel like an extension of your arm. This completely changed the way the gun feels in the hand. Groupings got much better and it really gives the handler confidence with hotter loads. All loads are much more manageable. Even when I practice my conceal carry draw I feel like I have a much better grip and am assured I have positive control of the firearm. It looks good (much better than the factory grips in my opinion) and really is a must have for this gun. If you are on the fence about it, buy it. If you are worried about how it affects the concealed aspect it is not much of a difference. I am still able to conceal with no printing. ... This is a very inexpensive must have modification for your Ruger. Hogue made a quality grip at a very good price. It is much more comfortable and helps the gun feel like an extension of your arm. Hogue grips Ruger 101
Ruger should put this grip on there revolvers instead of that little undersized grip. This Hogue monogrip makes the Ruger 101 very secure in the hands for better on target accuracy and feels very nice in your hands and no spanking the hands because the Hogue Monogrip absorbs the recoil extremely well. The Hogue Monogrip and the Ruger 101 is the perfect combination that makes you love your Ruger 101 with much better feel of handling with accuracy and much less recoil. I highly recommend the Hogue Monogrip on all revolvers.Ruger should put this grip on there revolvers instead of that little undersized grip. SP101 Rubber Grip
Great addition to the Ruger SP 101. The grip is larger, has much more cushioning than the original grip. Makes the firearm much more manageable. Relatively easy / simple to install. Ruger should include these grips with the revolver rather than have the purchaser buy this accessory to add to the gun.
