Great filter and attractive holiday decoration
I bought this object with the intention to remove the chunks of metal that were circulating in my engine, but lacking the motivation to actually go outside and do the work, I just left it on the kitchen table for quite a while. As the holidays approached, I noticed the silvery shimmer emanating from this lovely canister, and concluded that it was the hydrocarbon management equivalent of the Star of Bethlehem. And so now, I use it as the featured accompaniment to my scale model nativity scene. FIRST TIME USE
I purchased this as I noted that Chris Harris (BMW GURU on Utube) used this brand. During the first oil change, the BMW filters' rubber seal came off and stayed in the filter cavity..if I hadn't reached up and cleaned the mating surface, I would not have noticed and an oil leak would have been the result. Sometimes I cut open filters to check for debris or quality of the filter ..I did not do this this time so cannot comment. However, when you speak of Harley Davidson...I have to say that Harley's filter is by far better than a Fram or other off-brand. Perfect for BMW K1200LT '99
I change my oil filter and oil (conventional 20w50) in my BMW K1200LT at the beginning of every riding season. This is the oil filter that I use and have not had any issues in the years of using this filter model.
