Eating Out is an intelligent "comedy of manners" featuring gay characters. If Noel Coward were still alive, this is the sort of script that he would be writing. The writer of this film has created realistic characters, definetly people we meet and encounter on a daily basis. He takes his characters and puts them in awkward yet believable situations that entertain and amuse the most jaded film-goer. The premise of the film is a straight guy pretends to be gay to help him seduce women. You might be saying I've seen this before (that awful Cuba Gooding Film comes to mind) but no, this plot does not portray Gay men using stereo-types and remains intelligent and believable and very funny. This is a well written script of the like that is rarely seen today. As an added bonus there is one of the most erotic sex scenes I have ever seen in on celluloid, that does not include nudity. The scene is shot from the shoulders up, yet is hot and erotic. This is one of the better films available for purchase. Fortunately there is brief frontal male nudity, to satisfy the Gay audience, but overall the writer and director prove that excellent entertainment can be created without pandering to the lowest common denominator. Eating Out is a film I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.Read full review
Funny little gay comedy that is perfect to see on a lazy Sunday with your partner :) Good and very cute actors Set in the Arizona Sonoran desert it stars Scott Lunsford as Caleb, a hunky straight college student, who falls for Gwen (Emily Stiles). Caleb's gay roommate, Kyle (Jim Verraros), convinces him that pretending to be gay will get Gwen's attention, and it does. But instead of hooking up with Caleb, Gwen decides to fix him up with her own gay best friend, Marc (Ryan Carnes. Meanwhile Gwen’s latest boyfriend Joey (Billy Shepard) confesses to her that he is actually gay. Puzzled by her attraction to gay men, Gwen sadly wonders if she'll ever fall for a straight guy
a very good movie would highly recommend it to anyone.
