1911 recoil spring kit
I am no gunsmith but i do have a little common sense and a little mechanical ability and love shooting. I became disabled and losing ability to function 1911 so I am experimenting with my 1911's and so far 3 lb trigger and able to cycle slide and contribute that in part to this kit in finding the right combo in springs ,before anybody get their pants in a wad ,it's a range gun only. I recommend this kit, don't have any other springs to compare it too but I'm happy back on the range again ,it's better try and fail then never have try at all ,be safe and of good courage and long live the republic.I am no gunsmith but i do have a little common sense and a little mechanical ability and love shooting. Fit issues
I have a government size 1911 and out of all the size only one fit. They're color coded which helps with picking what lb spring you want but it's all useless when they don't even fit. I had to learn the hard way with the yellow spring because it got stuck on my guide rod. I literally had to summon the power of Thor to get it off. Only one fits which is the white color spring coming in at 9 lb.

Lighter springs made it possible for me to be able to operate the slide on my 1911, which had become difficult for me, due to loss of grip strength because of age. I strongly recommend this product for any senior citizen who has found themselves unable to operate the slide. The assortment of springs makes it possible to select the best spring for your own situation. very pleased!!!

Seven 1911 Recoil Springs
Well, the price was great. You know I have not had a chance to use them yet. It would be nice if they were color coded. The only distinguishing factor is a label on the individual plastic bag ( 7 bags). In case the were mixed up, I thought I could tell the difference because the spring wire diameter would measure differently with a digital calipers and most of them did, but a few pound sizes had the same diameter wire. You got to ask how did the seller distinguish them apart ? How can you really measure recoil spring tension or weight without special equipment ? Input appreciated.Well, the price was great.
