  • Hard to beat for the price

Fair warning, this thing spins counter clockwise which is not correct in most installs. Mine needs to be clockwise but its a super easy fix, it takes less than five mins to switch it to spin the right way, youtube can show you how. Its other downfall is the stud that holds the motor into the frame is what is also used for mounting, it doesnt come with any nuts that fit and in all the ones i have i couldnt find the right size, youll likely want to take a trip to the hardware store before you begin, theyre not a common size most will have. I cut the plug off and hard wired it in, so far its been running awesome.

  • works great- super price

Had to change the rotation, which only took a couple minutes, and cut off the shaft to fit my housing, but couldn't be happier.. also had to snip the plug off, and hard wire with acorn nuts, but again easy to do! Going to get another for my downstairs bath..

  • Good to find a replacement motor, might need a little work to fit

The motor did not have any dimensions listed, but looked the same. When I got it, I realized that maybe the shaft is the same size, but the motor housing is larger, so it did not fit in the Broan fan housing. I had to machine down the shaft to fit. The shaft had a flat on it. Looking at it on end it does not look like an O but like a D. I like that, I think the old fan blade just wore its self down, and was spinning freely on the shaft. Problem was, I basically machined the flat away to fit. The fan also had a D shaped ID, which I forcefully pushed the fan onto the motor shaft to work. It still rubbed a little in the housing, so I put a shim (thick washer) in between the mounting bracket and the housing to stand it off, and not rub. The fan shroud still fit over the whole magilla. Overall, I think it was better than replacing the whole thing.

  • Nice replacement

Needed to replace the motor and fan wheel after the original wheel failed. This transformer was slightly larger, which required some snipping of the sheet metal mounting plate. New fan and motor is quieter. Much cheaper and easier than replacing the whole fan assembly.

  • Great value

Replaced my original fan motor for my bathroom that was built in 1973. The old motor still worked but was starting to get a little noisy. The replacement motor fit well. I had to shorten the shaft by 3/8" but was not a problem with a hacksaw. There was a groove where I made my cut. I might have been able to snap it off at that groove but chose the hacksaw method instead. I also had to switch the rotation by disassembling the motor and flipping it end for end. Not a big deal either. Overall very satisfied because I didn't have to go in the attic and replace the whole fan assembly. The plastic fan piece pressed snugly on the shaft. Five stars.

  • Works Great!

Inexpensive and sure makes a difference in my bathroom. It was easy to install and I'm thinking I should replace the motor in the other bath...and it isn't even broken...just not as efficient as this new one I installed...and I'm a 63 yr old woman, no less.

  • This made a perfect Mr-Coffee dehydrator fix.

I bought this motor to replace the motor for my round Mr-Coffee dehydrator and it works brilliantly! It's slightly bigger and has a longer shat so only two simple alterations were needed using only a metal cutting device once, I used a Dremel "butter". 1; "BEFORE" cutting the plug off the new motor, rotate the four motor pedestals on the metal board from front (by the shaft) to back (by the coil) and mount the motor, (you'll only be mounting with the front pedestals but need the back two for weight support). 2; With the motor mounted to the metal board, use something to measure the inside of the fan blades mounting hole length. Using that measurement device measure from the board height and mark the shaft. Then plug the motor in a wall socket. With the motors shaft spinning any metal cutting device will do. Just hold it against the marking and let it cut itself and you'll end up with a perfectly balanced cut! NOW cut the plug of the motor. THAT'S IT! Very simple alterations vs buying another dehydrator.....

  • Perfect fit

I liked the fan motor, I was a little disappointed because it didn't have the same fan blade that was on mine, it was smaller than my original. It does clear the bathroom of steam. I'm the guy who likes to get what I expect. lol

  • Great Product

I have a 20 year old home with 3 baths and all of the exhaust fans were getting a little loud. I inspected the Broan fans and found the bearings were slightly worn on the motor shafts. I found this motor and fan for a reasonable price and was shipped extremely fast and after a very simple replacement found these new fan assemblies to be great quality and very quiet. I recommend that you buy the compete fan and motor for 2 reasons. The old motor shaft has spines for the fan to slide onto where these new ones have a flat side on the shaft. In other words my old fan blades would not slide onto he new motor shaft. Also my experience told me that the likeliness of me getting the old blade off of the old motor shaft without damage would be next to impossible.
