    Good Parts Bad Fridge

    I'm sure these are good parts, I took a hopeful shot at trying to get the icemaker working again, but there must have been other ills with this appliance. Replacing the boards did not help. As the fridge was having other issues, we replaced it. No fault of the boards that I likely mis-diagnosed the problem. I can mention these do not look as though these are "knock-off" parts. They look exactly as the boards which were removed. The components on the boards appear to be genuine. As the boards were installed, returning them was not an option, so about $80.00 went out the door with the dead Kenmore. No more Kenmore/Whirlpool appliances in my life again. A refrigerator should last more than 9-1/2:years.

    Good value if it worked.

    Replaced both optic boards, but they don't work. Was careful to make sure that the connectors were mated properly. Never get a steady indicator light when holding down the flipper on the emitter side. Ice maker never make ice mold remained dry. Replaced the entire ice maker assembly, and still it doesn't work.

    Ice maker is now working

    This might be a little early to review this infrared board, but it installed very easy and has been in operation for 2 weeks and seems to be just fine. I hope it lasts as long as the one that came with the refrigerator in 2008
