I used this in an update to a commercial freezer in a restaurant. It was an easy update to do. the instructions were direct and accurate and figuring out the wiring changes was easy. This one replaced a Paragon mechanical defrost timer and is much easier to set the time and the different defrost times and the length of defrost time. It can be set to the exact time of day making setting the defrost times to times that are more suited to the food service operation way easier. I couldn't use the front of the enclosure that came with it, but the freezers cover fit back where it belonged and there isn't any exposed wiring. The backlight makes it a lot easier to set or change settings and the manual defrost is a definite plus.
