      Drop In Replacement for any SC250, 2650, 400, or 500 Series Cassette Toilet!

      The product, "Thetford Waste Tank Blade" is one of those, "Why did they design it like this?!" sort of part. The blade is a simple enough part but it only interfaces with the rest of the assembly by a plastic shaft, which can break (mine did) and this newer part seems to have reenforced that pretty well. I do see that the part i was shipped has a "2" designation on the ABS moulding, so i would guess that their has been a revision. So if you need a replacement part, see if you've got a "2" on the part or not and this should help greatly!

      Thetford Blade Opener

      So far the Part appears to be better built than the original. it will get used this coming Thanks Giving. My only gripe so far is not with this seller but Thetford in that i had to order this from the UK, I called several Thetford dealers in my area (Arizona, USA) and none of them could get the part, one sent me his parts break out sheet and the only part numbers he had was for the gaskets or the whole assembly that attaches to the tank. why is this available everywhere but in the US?

      Easy fix

      This is an improved design compared to the earlier versions with the hexagonal boss. Comes with excellent fitting instructions and is considerably cheaper than buying the whole top assembly. Recommend buying two to keep one spare in case of breakages when away camping. Only tool required is a cross head screwdriver to undo the three screws holding the retaining arm.

      Easy to install and works a treat

      This replaced a worn toilet blade. Was easy to install and came with pictured instructions. Feels a bit stiff opening and closing but is probably due to being all tightened up when put back together. Has fixed the problem anyway.

      Thetford tank blade

      Can't find these in the U.S. without paying a ridiculous markup! This one was an improved version of the rather poorly designed original blade (which is practically guaranteed to fail). This blade fit perfectly and the instructions made inserting it easy.
