Army Men, Sarge's Heroes is a fun game to pound around in. The weapons are army man versions of real weapons that perform just as the real ones do. As i recall, the maps were cool maps of everyday places like the kitchen, the sandbox and the bathtub. It is cool cause things happen that would to a plastic army man, you fall in the bath tub, you die. You go on the stove, you melt, and a really neat level had an electric fence that you had to get over whil fighting the enemy on the other side. Like most video games, Sarge's Heroes gets harded as the game progresses but its all in good fun. My advice to you, If you still have a system that plays this game, get it :) Hope it helps, Jack
In "ARMY MEN: Sarge's Heroes", the Tan Army is at it again. Now they are trying to gather weapons of mass destruction: exploding skyrockets, intensely hot magnifying glasses, and the ultimate weapon the garbage disposal. Only Sergeant Hawk can keep the scales of good and evil in balance. Guide Sergeant Hawk through 16 missions that range from the simple, seek-and-destroy to the complex, stealth reconnaissance. With over 40 mission objectives and 13 weapons, the possibilities are endless. Once the Tans have been defeated, invite your friends over to experience the plastic carnage in a head-to-head game. Plastosheen, a revolutionary new highlighting process that brings out the plastic look of the characters, highlights all of the death and carnage. The men may be plastic but the combat is real. Originally developed by 3DO, and playable on the first Playstation home video game system, the on-screen graphics are absolutely sensational. Nowhere else do you find a video game with characters like this that seemingly come to life. Led by Hawk, he is joined by his bazooka man Riff, machine gunner Thick, flamethrow master Scorch, mortar man Shrap and minesweeper Hoover. Also joining in on the action are Hawk's main squeeze Vikki Grimm along with her father, Colonel Grimm. And let's not forget about the nearly unstoppable leader of the Tan Army, General Plastro. While it might seem that the Tan Army is too overwhelming for the green soldiers, Hawk and company always manage to succeed and rise to every occasion. Overall, this game is a lot of fun, and has a timelss and enduring quality; plus also spawned a hit sequel, as well.Read full review
If you enjoy the N64 version, the PlayStation offers cut-scenes with real-time dialogue, and decent music adaptation. The controls area bit different [obviously] but you'll adapt. Dislikes: Music is not like I'm used to hearing on the N64 [clearer], the cut-scenes may seem out-of-place for those who played the N64 port only.
PNP has provided me with super customer service. We had a problem with the first game we bought. I reported the problem and PNP sent me another one with me going to the hassle of sending the other one back. We recieved the 2nd game withen a wk and its playing great! Thx PNP,
I Love this game. This came comes the closest to call of duty for ps1 owners. It uses cool guns like M-16s, flamethrowers, bazookas, snipers, and much much more. The story is good, and does make you laugh sometimes along the way.
