So, you want an FM synth but can't afford higher end models? This might be the keyboard for you.
While it's not very customizable, it has ALOT of patches which cover a variety of sounds. Furthermore, It's small size, coupled with a battery option makes it truly portable. The PSS-170's quirky 80s digital interface will make learning it fun, although ultimately limiting. With that said, there's a lot that can be done here including keyboard basics such as portamento and complete drum and rhythm programs built in.
Pros:
Cool FM sounds
Built in drum and rhythm patterns with tempo control
Portable size
Many patches
Portamento
Tremelo
Sustain
Headphone output
Cons:
Small keys
Sounds not customizable
No midi
Overall Rating: Recommended.
If you're seeking FM sounds similar to early 90s PC games (Sound Blaster) and even Sega Genesis/MegaDrive games, this is a good place to start. While a basic keyboard, this is a great keyboard for quirky projects or to add on to a larger synth arsenal.

I’ve always loved this keyboard, and having one for myself makes it way better. I often find myself playing this non stop for hours and I don’t even realize it.
