    Good breaker gone bad

    This product is probably over 50 years old and is old, used, and was a gamble at best that it would function as it did when newer. A new replacement cost four times what this one did and might work as it did when it was manufactured but would still be somewhat of a gamble. This 50 amp circuit controls only a 230v space heater that draws under 3500 watts for 4 minute intervals every 9 to 10 minutes so 4 on 10 off and would complete 2 to 4 cycles before tripping this 50 amp breaker. So I can't rely on utilizing this heater to heat my garage. I have to rely on a milkhouse style that is way to small. I also have an old hanging reznor gas furnace that you have to babysit when using but it will at least heat the building. Anyway I should probably just upgrade my breaker box in both the house and ...
