General collection of musical musings and mish mash.
I love the fact that this came with tge bluray disc that contains tge whole album in high resolution 5.1 surround sound, but after listening to the cd, I wont be rushing to my bluray player to make this a special event. The whole album drifts from one mediocre musical musing to the next, with only one song featuring the dulcet tones of Gilmour. But tge lyrics, oh those lyrics! Roger Waters please come back to save us from this dire mediocrity. In fact, there is a distinct absence of any lyrics on the rest of the album. Not unlike "obscured by clouds" which also nearly drive me to self harm after the first audition. The Floyd can still play, and play well. And Gilmour still has chilled mellow vocals. But jesus, is this tge best we could hope for as a farewell album? Sorry to all the hard Floyd fans who like anything that has Gilmours name on it, but I am sorely disappointed with this offering. Even Division Bell was more enjoyable. Wish you were here, this is not. Not by a long chalk. One of only 2 Floyd flops imho.
