    MY "Favorite Year"...and, Peter O'Toole's !!

    One of the best films you'll ever see that echo's the time-period of the mid-50's ! Fast, funny, a super-cast, and one of Peter O'Toole's best films...in fact, in an interview he did a number of year's ago, he said it was one of his favorite's of all the movies he starred in. If you're old enough to remember the Sid Caesar Show of the late-40's to mid-50's, you'll understand how this film copies that so very well. If you're not familiar with that era, you'll learn a lot of how it was then. I know: I worked in Golden Age TV from 1953-1957, so I personally have a lot in common with "Benjie" Mark Linn-Baker. Every time I see his character in the film I say "Hey...that was me !" Do yourself a favor: I you wanna have a good laugh, and a good time with the whole family, watch "My Favorite ...

    For me growing up in this time period, when tv was in its infancy and movies and movie stars were larger than life, brought back memories of childhood idols from both the big and the small screen. Brash, funny, poignant, and ultimately human. An entertaining look at that heroic spark that is in all of us, looking for release.
