    Good furnance fan control switch

    This is a temperature controlled furnace fan control switch with both high limits to shut off the furnace if it gets too hot, and low limit which shuts off the fan after the burners go off and cool off. Its easy to install; it only accepts tab connectors which have to placed at the ends of existing wires. The trigger temperatures can be adjusted, but the unit comes with the set at the usual levels. Mine worked fine out of the box.

    Honeywell L4064B 2210 L4064 Fan & Limit 11" 11.5" Furnace Control

    The switch is working fine for almost a month now since I installed it. I was not impressed by the packaging. The packaging was just an envelope. The envelope was torn and I can see the switch. Fortunately, the switch is made of strong metal and no physically damage is shown. For a business stand point, I would recommend better packaging. Overall, the switch is working great and the price is affordable.

    Honeywell Fan Control/Limit Switch

    Control works great! Install was fairly straightforward and the fit was good. I did need to remove the spade lugs from the original wires and tin the stranded copper wires in order to use the push in terminals of the new controller. Also needed to pull the wires further into the box since the connection points are bit further inside the box. I was able to keep the original wiring without splices. The old control was malfunctioning and causing short cycling of the furnace and excessive temperatures in the plenum. The new control fixes this and should extend the life of the furnace as well as saving some money in heating costs. Well worth the work involved, but be sure to get it right as it can create a safety issue if done incorrectly.
