Sometimes less is more
Although this product is twenty or more years old and no longer being made by Sony it does exactly what I want it to do. It does not need an AC adapter for the Caller ID display, just four AA batteries that seem to last for years. The Caller ID display is sharp, clear and easy to read from across the room. The currently manufactured battery powered Caller ID phones are very difficult to read with their blue background black LCD displays. It does not have a speaker phone or an answering machine which I don't need in the kitchen and bedroom where I have my Sonys. When the power goes out it still allows me to call electric company outage 800 number. It suits my needs perfectly. I just wish Sony had not discontinued the IT-ID70 landline battery powered phone.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
