        AFX Daytona coupe with mega g chassis

        I had been looking forward to getting this car for a long time! However, after getting it open and setting it on the track-I wasn't impressed at 1st! It seemed slower than my other cars with the SAME chassis. But after a few laps (more like 10) on a 63 foot track-it began to improve! Others have reviewed this car complaining about the body and how it doesn't look correct. I think it looks great and it is now performing better! I don't think it is as fast as my other chassis (that is the same) but it is very close. I'm also using a high end controller that you can switch the ohms on (making a difference in the feel of the performance). This car seemed like it performed better with a lower ohm-such as 35 or 45.

        Terrible and misleading

        This slot car barely resembles the prototype due to the stretching that has been done to fit the body on the chasis. Also, it has an obvious seam on the lower front. It has been photographed in such a way as to obscure these problems but they are all too plain once you have it in your hands I cannot speak to its quality as a runner; I had intended to give it as a present, but I would not wish this ugly, distorted mess on anyone. I wish I had purchased this from a real store so that I could return it.

        Very nice

        I think the model and the details look great. Pretty quick car as well. This Mega g chassis gives you a slightly classic feel compared to the faster, better handling mega g plus. I prefer the classic feel. In my opinion it takes more skill, but I'm definitely still learning. The main differences between the g and g plus are the acceleration and handling. This mega g is almost as fast as the g plus, but the acceleration is no comparison. The g plus will win pretty much every race. What I like about this classic feel is the speed control. The mega g plus reaches top speed in the blink of an eye, where the mega g has a slower, smoother climb to top speed. Both cars are great fun, it's just a matter of preference for that particular race. One thing to keep in mind with this particular chassis ...
