    Great CPU chip, but be VERY careful in installing!

    Once I finally received the processor, I tried to install it. In doing so I bent the pins on the CPU socket. If and when I can get a magnifying camera to look at it, I may attempt to re-bend the pins and restore that board for another project. But I got the same mobo from eBay, installed it there CAREFULLY, and it has been a great performer. When dealing with the Socket 1055, very carefully put it on the pins of the CPU socket and do not shift it around very much. Learn from my sad mistake and watch YouTube videos on installation. Now I know, and as I say, the processor is wonderful in my Dell Optiplex 9020.

    Wporth the money.

    Well, it's definitely NOT an i7 or even in that category, but for the money...it's a great processor. In building a business machine, it's more than enough. Add a decent graphics card and your ready to game in the mid-range level. Add an SSD for your O/S and you'll love it.

    Great CPU to revive old Haswell boards.

    If you have an older Haswell motherboard with a low end CPU (like a Celeron, Pentium or i3) this will give your computer a pretty hefty boost for cheap instead of buying a whole new system... highly recommended.
