Wonderful Book For Learning Colors and Mixing Colors!
Little Golden Books were always a great way for children to learn about things, and this one is no exception. It is small, with a cardboard cover, and the pages are glued not directly into the spine, which means it will last longer than other children's books! This book describes kittens (Hush and Brush) who love colors, and are trying to mix them to make the color green. They mix several colors together, and come out with many other options. The way it is written makes it compelling for children to understand how colors can be mixed to make other colors, and what those colors represent (e.g. purple, like prunes or shadows on late afternoons). This was my favorite book as a child, and at age 37, I'm not ashamed to say I ordered it to reminisce! I even turned out to be an artist.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Beautiful words by Margaret Wise Brown, and wonderful illustrations. Serious quibble, with a trend in latter day editions of some Little Golden Books, of hacking off some of the pages. A great poetic climax has been eliminated from this version. Boo!
