    Has been working flawlessly

I bought this model because I have Comcast Business, and it cannot use many of the consumer grade modems. This unit plugged in and easily hooked up, and took Comcast Business less than 5 minutes to authorize. It has been working ever since delivering at least or better then the speed I signed up for. The front blue/green LEDs make it easy to see the status of the modem and report problems, if nay, to your provider. It works very well and I have no complaints. Do check with your Cable Provider to be sure this modem is compatible with your network before purchasing. I learned that the hard way with the previous modem I purchased, which did not work with Comcast Business.

  • Top critical review

Didn't work I had to return it.

I purchased two and neither one worked properly. The first one worked for about a minute. The second one didn't work at all. I ended up with a D-Link DCM-301. It works perfectly. I really can't answer, is it easy to set up. Because none of them worked properly. Is it a good value? NO .... Does it perform well? NO.... In my opinion this is not a good product. I was forced to give it a star in order to post the review.

  • Great cable modem

I got this modem to save money since Comcast/Xfinity wants $10 a month to rent theirs. It works great. I did have some trouble the first week. I had three 30 minute conversations with Comcast where I had to re-add the modem because (mysteriously) it was removed from my account every couple days and my internet would go out. I'm not conspiracy minded, but it's clear to me that Comcast really wants that $10 a month in rental fees. But, persistence paid off. My internet works great now and I'll be saving $120 a year.. I mention the Comcast stuff because if you are getting this modem to replace the rented one just know that Comcast wont be difficult about it, but don't be surprised if you have a couple hiccups early on. Also, after it gets activated open a browser and go to the Xfinity website, there should be an Activation button that you click. You should also setup your username and password for your Comcast email (I forget what you do you first), but that should solidify the device on your account.

  • Totally Worth It

I saved quite a bit of money buying my own modem. TWC's rental keeps increasing. It was a bit of a hassle (not real bad) getting the TWC techs to sync up everything, but it's done and works great!

Works great with Xfinity high-speed internet anf my Netgear Night Hawk router. Very reliable device.

  • Save $ with your own cable modem

Simple to set up and has a pretty good range even around multiple corners. The cable modem needs a router, wired or wifi, to get the signal to your PC. The setup needed only the cable attached to the coax cable outlet and network cable to plug into my wifi router.

  • Solid product.

I would typically say, "For the price" it's good; but in general with this product, it is truly just good-- the great price aside. Cuts out the need for monthly modem rentals and provides superior quality.

  • Got this for Comcast

I had a Cisco router and paired it with this modem as I did not want to purchase/rent Comcast's for $10 extra month. They paired nicely and work consistently for the past month. No complaints so far other than Comcast's sometimes patchy internet service. Happy with this product.

  • arris cm820

Does what it is supposed to do. Had to call cable company to finalize hook up despite the on line "Easy Set Up". But that's a Time Warners issue.

  • Great!

Used Comcast online registration process for the new Cable Modem. Was up and running in 15 mins. Been using for 2 weeks w/o any issue whatsoever.
