    Heavy duty.

    This is my second Maglight, it is durable and requires the alkaline cells to be checked every 3 months for leakage since the tube part is airtight, alkaline batteries are know to self discharge over time if not inspected regularly, it is also a great Billy club if the need arises.

    An aging staple

    I still love those: they feel good in the hand, and the size, weight and metallic construction can turn them into impact weapons should you find a bad surprise in the dark. The problem is that old incandescent bulbs just don't cut it anymore and Maglite wisely put some LED ones in the new 3D flashlights. I bought this one by mistake and the LED is so much better for a small price difference that I don't see the point in this item anymore. Maybe I'm missing something, like the fact that some customers might have huge stocks of replacement bulbs (I threw away the handful I had once I moved on to LED) or that some possibly prefer a softer light and less output (?). For me there is no looking back and I can't believe I was happy with those for so long.

    I love the mag lite but had to get a better bulb changed out to a Xeon bulb

    The stock bulb is alright but the best thing to do with these mag lites is changeover to a Xeon bulb they are brilliant white not a yellowish light with the stock bulb that’s just what I prefer I have about 4 of these maglites in different sizes I have put Xeon bulbs in all of them the bulbs are about a 9.00 upgrade and worth every penny 🇺🇸😎= Craig

    Durable quality product

    This is not a regular review, as I did not purchase this for regular flashlight use. I bought this product because I am aware of the quality products that MagLite puts out. This item came exactly as expected and is extremely durable as far as flashlights go. I enjoy the weight of the aluminum casing, because it is solid but not overly heavy. I would certainly buy again for future projects or flashlight needs.
