    The Greatest Generation

    Harrowing, first person narrative from the men who experienced this historic tragedy. Riveting account of what happened, how they survived, what happened to the ones who didn't, and the miracle of their needle in a haystack rescue. Also some words from their loved ones on their experience when these incredible men came home. Every high school history teacher should cover this story.

    Straight and to the point

    The Indianapolis was a terrible tragedy and should never be forgotten. At the same time it needs to be treated with dignity and respect unlike the new movie with Nicholas Cage. The survivors did not want to have the attention focused on the sharks - they wanted the courage of the survivors and the unfair treatment of Captain McVay to be the prime focus of the saga of the Indianapolis.
