    Excellent, with a few minor caveats

    The camera is fantastic. It shoots excellent photos and decent quality video. However, it lacks many of the features introduced in the next iteration (Hero 3+) which limit its usefulness in some situations. In anything above 1080p it is fixed as a wide-angle shot, the ProTune software lacks the profiles for color correction (which must therefore be done manually), and it doesn't have a viewscreen. However the trade-off is significant - the Hero 3 Black has arguably the best built-in mic of any in the Hero series, it has better battery life than newer models, and it allows users to easily connect an external microphone for even better sound quality. Overall this was an absolute bargain and a completely worthwhile purchase.

    Unfortunate Experience.

    Upon video playback there is a high pitch constant beep both on the computer and the device. I returned the item and will actually purchase another one as this is a good deal hard to pass. Hopefully there will not be the same problem.

    Mounted on my Polaris Ranger s x s offroad vehicle

    I have mounted my Ultra Pro Action cam 4 camera on my off road Polaris Ranger. This has to be one of the harshest conditions that anyone could install these cameras on. lots of bumps, jumps and dust and water/mud puddles. And this camera using its stabilization feature takes everything I have thrown at it. 655 miles of trail riding and never missed a beat. the battery lasts about 5 to 6 hours of continuous recording. And a second battery is only about $5.00 The camera records in segments on its own. you just set the length of each one. The benefit of this Brilliant feature is that it records for your set time and continues on to the next segment.     Amazing Amazing AMAZING camera!

    This camera is absolutely amazing! Its light wait, small and easy to work with! I use this for paintball, And when I went it was early in the morning and it was soooo foggy This camera did a amazing job I could see so far in the video it was like the fog wasn't there! I run, jump, crawl. And I shook the crap out of it in the video And the camera has a anti shake setting that woks amazing! I also set it on my car and went up to 85 mph and the camera picked everything up great! I watched videos on YouTube for this camera and was sketchy about buying it cuz the reviews on YouTube made the camera look fuzzy, But I promise you this is clear as day and such good quality the camera had no signs of fuzziness or any bad quality looks!!
