Fairly massive production and very sweeping in its' tale, "The Longest Day" is the true story of the events surrounding the 6 June 1944 invasion of Normandy, France. If you pay close attention, you'll be amazed how many stars and future-stars are in this film as leads, seconds, and extras. Definately belongs in the NTSC VHS film library of all historians and militaria collectors. Not recommended for children due to the graphic nature of warfare. This particular issue of the film is from 1998. The Longest Day,is as true of a depiction ever made during war time! From the Heroics of Military Men and Women to the completion of a Major Strategy, John Wayne once shows what a Great and Versatile Actor he really was! A wonderful must have addition to any collection!
