These popular early issues were the subject of various forgers' and collectors of the forgeries often have to search out the better attempts. This particular stamp is one of the better forgery attempts for the specialist -- confirmed with a third-party certifying expert. An exceptional stamp with an attractive appearance though the faded/light circular city-date cancellation is also a forgery. Most genuinely used issues of this stamp were subjected to a blue brush stroke. It is an attractive stamp -- please study the images for clarity, color, cancellation, and centering; and, review the information following. Good luck with your philatelic bids/offers.”
