Good: all around good phone. So much better than the phones we had, Droid 3 and Samsung Galaxy Ace. I'm a non-Apple guy; I can't stand all the pretentiousness related to Apple products. HOWEVER... it IS a good phone! What specifically? It's fast, I can't imagine the phone being faster and working any smoother. The reception is good. With the same Straight Talk service as before, I can actually go out of town and expect to be able to text and call. Before with a Samsung Galaxy Ace once I left the city limits I might as well have left the phone at home, because all I had was a "no service" icon. Every extra app I have added and kept on the phone works great as well. Not-so-good: battery life. This phone as well as the other when first received would not go for 3-4 hours just sitting around doing nothing. So do an internet search for "prolong battery life iPhone 5" or something similar and you'll soon be happier with this than your previous non-iPhones. My wife (this phone) has a genuine Apple charge cord but I have an after-market one; both seem to charge the same. Now the battery life is acceptable; on a full charge you can go pretty much all work-day. Read full review

Battery life is very short. People cannot hear me talk. I can hear them fine. I wish I had kept my iphone 4s.

After a very frustrating experience with an LG android smartphone I decided to move on to the iPhone 5 about a year and a half ago. I love this phone! The features are very easy to use and I have only experienced minor glitches with a few applications. The operating system runs smoothly. I only had one occasion after an update where my phone froze but this issue was resolved quickly. The only complaint I have is in regards to the phones battery life. I am not a big phone talker and mainly use my phone for occasional texts and online usage, however even with this minimal usage the phones battery life is very short. I have to carry an extra cord with me whenever I leave the house or else the phone will be dead within a few hours. The phone also gets fairly hot to the touch, perhaps the type of case i have on it could be causing it to get too warm and damaging the battery? Because the phone has a glass face and shatters quite easily I have a very tough case on it to help prevent it from breaking.Read full review
Love the phone and all the feature but, the battery life SUCKS!! Takes great pics, easy touch tone (little bit too sensitive) Better keep a charger with you if you use your data much will not hold life from morning to night unless your just talking on the phone or texting. I check FB and my ebay sales a lot through the day so I have to recharge hallway through the day. Wish I would have known this before I spent so much on a IPhone instead of a Galaxy heard they have better battery life.
For us it is a Great Leap Forward (we're not teenagers) Fast compared to last phone easy to learn to use. I really like that it was unlocked with no bloat ware. Apple makes it easy to guard your privacy by being able to block tracking for almost anything. Down side is the battery life is less than I wanted, but by adjusting settings it is better. Overall a good deal.

This iPhone is really quite nice for an older version iPhone. Excellent phone quality. Power button had gone bad, but was able to have that repaired. Takes excellent pics outdoors. Those taken indoors not the quality of my cameras, but for something to throw in my purse & not have to lug around my camera, it does fine.

Very quality purchase when I was in a pinch and needed a fix. Plus battery life, cosmetic dings were very minor, overall very happy with this purchase. The sole problem I have with the phone is a weird screen glitch that sometimes makes typing (and simply registering the screen) impossible. It's normally fixed right away with a quick hold-button reset, but it can still be a nuisance. 4/5.

The phone is ok but it takes a long time to turn on. Will be giving this one to my husband and buying a new iPhone 6 plus or 7. Anyway, has siri and useful stuff and would recommend an iPhone 5. unique-boutque2013

The iPhone 5 by Apple corporations, was the newest Apple product on the market before the 5s and the 5c came out. The iPhone 5 is longer, sleeker, has a turn-by-turn navigation, and is faster then the old iPhones. This product is supposed to be an all around better quality product that zips through the market with its speed and overall appearance. Most users think that Apple has outdone themselves this time. The quality of the retina display makes watching videos more superior then before. From the alarm application, to sending e-mails, playing games, and checking your bank account. This product can do more than you can even imagine, with the new IOS7 update, it can also do virtually everything the 5s and 5c can do, so I say save your money and just get the 5. There are however some flaws to this product, for some of the devices the lock button begins to stop working. There have also been complaints with the IOS7 about the apps looking like toys, as well as the phone restarting. However, If you take the iPhone into Apple with any of these complaints they will gladly replace your iPhone, or do everything they can to fix the problem. Compared to the Android and the Samsung the screen is a little smaller, but with these phones side-by-side users say that the iPhone 5 is clearer, easier to zoom in and read text, and overall a good size to hold in one hand. Overall the iPhone 5 solves all the problems users had about old iPhones and other phones on the market. It has the perfect combination of stealth, light weight, user friendly applications, and overall a good product. The only downside seems to be the poor battery life, and the occasional device disfunction. I would give the iPhone 5 an overall 5 stars rating.Read full review
The iPhone 5 is a great little computer as much as it is a phone. Keeps everything in one place, contacts, email, photos, gps, etc. Downloads data easily to my Macbook Pro. Great little device.
