    As an ESL teacher of mainly adults and young adults (high school on up), I've been using this title in my curriculum continuously since the 3rd edition (which did not include a CD). I've been employing it as the main textbook in my advanced/lower advanced classes. (I don't simply use it as a supplement.) It is important to note the variety of activities in this book--in particular the many communicative exercises for pairs, groups, and class work as well as the sentence completion activities that one would expect in a grammar textbook. There are many opportunities for students to speak and listen as well as to read and write.
