I bought this after watching Chelsea on TV for years, on various shows, eventually ending up on Chelsea Lately. This book is nothing short of hilarious, this coming from a guy who's into rock music and everything. I was skeptical because most reviews said it was more a "woman's book." well, in select parts I can see where that would be the case, but all in all it's a great book. Highly recommend it
This book illustrates all that I like about Chelsea Latley on E! I can relate somewhat to what Handler is writing. She is in her mid-thirties, and she puts a hilarious slant on everyday situations; such as dealing with dad, dating, and friendship. She also has some experiences that I am glad I have never had first-hand knowledge such as getting arrested for DUI, and going to a woman's holding facility when her sister turns her in for using a fake ID. If you are a Chelsea Lately fan, this is a must read!
I read great reviews of this book so had to read it myself. Amazingly funny. It conjures up events from your past and scenarios from your own family. All the things that most people would not want to divulge are in this book. It is a quick read and I was very disappointed to come to the end. Laugh out loud great!
I literally laughed out loud during the whole book. Chelsea is funny on tv, but when she has a chance to more completely delve into her hilarious world in her self depreciating and witty manner, her humor just really shines. It's one of those books that is really hard to put down. I rarely read a book twice from cover to cover, but this one I bought on ebay just so I could read it again. Just reading about her dad alone is enough to get you going. I highly recommend this book to anyone who knows how to read and who has prior knowledge about the birds and the bees.
This book was very easy to read and hard to put down. I laughed out loud on several occasions and will be passing it on to my girlfriends. Having said that - I wouldn't recommend it to just everyone. There were a couple of times that the subject matter became a little vulgar. But I just tried to speed read through those parts and won't pass it on to any friends who I feel might be offended. There are just too many funny parts not to get this book based on a couple of off color stories. Enjoy!
