    5 ghz adapter

    My computer will only pick up a 2.4 ghz signal. I have a dual band router, so I use this to pick up the 5 ghz signal coming out of the router. It does pick up the 5 ghz but I don't notice any increase in speed. That's what I had hoped I would get. However, it works to get the 5 ghz signal.

    PT-8812AU is a workhorse!

    I had ONLY used ASUS N600 or N900 USB Adapters until I tried this Premiertek AC! Installs fast & easy, locks on, and stays locked on with only minor fluctuation, and that is because of router placement in an apartment, fixed that by trying different locations! If you can get this adapter in the $20-$30 range, SCREAMING deal! IN the $30-$40 still worth it! :) ALSO works on my Windows 10 machines! :)
