    Good but buggy on 5GHz freqs

    Good for the most part, but buggy on 5GHz channels when running netgear firmware. Tried several builds of netgear firmware and all of them would drop intermittently on 5GHz channels. Switched to ddwrt and no dropping 5GHz, although ddwrt transfer rates are not as fast as stock firmware. The perfirmance is good for the price, and I would give 5 stars except for the 5GHz bug. I got two of these and the same bugs happened on both.

    Netgear X4S Great router. It's a beast electronically!!

    This is a great router. In fact, I bought a second X4S one to set up as an AP point to extend the coverage and range in my house. Netgear's firmware makes it simple to set with good instructions on their website.

    Unstable router
