  • An amazing optical instrument, not just for portraits.

    This is a very unique lens, commonly referred to as the king of bokeh. that the twin apertures produce, and thus it is the best lens for portraits - no other camera family has this kind of lens. Though the lens' primary aperture, controlled by the camera is at f2.8, the lens actually functions as f4.0 as the fastest, because of the secondary, manual aperture. The lens is so bright and sharp that can be useful as medium telephoto or even macro. I only wish that it was auto-focus . . . .
