    Very creative book and artwork.

I bought The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon by Stephen King. It's a scary story for a child. Even though I'm an old lady I bought it for myself. I love it.It's a pop-up book and the artwork is awesome. Of course it's by Stephen King so the story is awesome too.

  • The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon - Pop Up Book

I bought this book because I love Stephen King novels and had never come across this item. I was blown away. I have never seen a pop-up quite like this one. For starters it is an adaptation of a great King novel. But the amazing details and different facets that spring from the pages really put you in the story. This is not a kids pop-up. It is a work of art that captures the scenes within The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon in a way never imagined. There are many pull out sections or mini books, which are used to complete the text, as a pop-up does not leave much room for written words. There are also many parts that can be pulled or spun with your fingers to bring the book to life. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves art, King, or just fun interactive books.

  • Can Red Sox Pitcher Tom Gordon Save The Day?

I got this book for my 11 year old granddaughter who plays softball and loves pop up books. I'm a collector of Robert Sabuda and Matthew Reinhart pop up books and can comment about the pop ups. I'm not a Stephen King fan, but have seen some of the made for television movies that aired many, many years ago which were pretty scary. I didn't think the story was too scary, but it might be to a younger reader. The pop ups are pretty good, although not as impressive or spectacular as the Sabuda/Reinhart ones. A young reader who plays softball probably would more easily identify with the main character and be transported into this "scary" story where imaginary conversations with Red Sox pitcher Tom Gordon is her lifeline to the outside world. I just got feedback from my granddaughter and ...

  • For the serious collector or just lovers of this book....

This was probably one of my least favorite books from King. BUT, I am a hardcore King collector and its just such a neat piece that I had to have it just to put in my collection.
