Good feel, smooth action, not loose, but not too stiff. I was worried carbon fiber would not feel so good. Big numbers, very easy to read. Extra digits give lots of precision and repeatablility, even beyond the absolute accuracy. Displaying fractions is a real convenience. And the 2032 battery lasts longer and is more common than some others. Great caliper.

The whole caliper is made out of plastic and what they call carbon fiber. This is a good feature if you're afraid of being electrocuted. Depending on how hard you push because it does not have a thumb wheel you get different readings. Now as with everything, you get what you pay for. However, this would be ideal for taking approximat measurements and not having to worry about marring the surface your measuring. I wish it would have said carbon fiber plastic somewhere in the description.

Not too bad, plastic ends make it hard to mark for metal, plastic shape makes it fragile and easy to get inaccurate results, good for minor jobs that don’t have to be too accurate. I would spend the extra 15 dollars and buy some quality calipers .
