The instructions are translated poorly and not very clear. Like others have mentioned, the backup camera was displaying all the views. I reached out to the seller and s/he promptly replied within a day with a solution that involved configuring the camera settings. The solution worked, but it limits the view to only one angle, but that's alright. The Zlink which enables Apple Carplay connected easily.
