Attractive, comfortable, and flexible....that says it all!
The Pentax PZ-70 is a great Pentax Auto Focus Camera which can be operated manually, as an Aperature Priority, or Shutter Priority camera, or totally automatically. If you can find a good, totally functional PZ-70 you have a gem! However, the Pentax Series P and Pentax Series Z cameras have the dreaded "broken plastic gear syndrome", and all develop it eventually. A plastic gear breaks which prevents the shutter/mirror/film advance drive train from working. Sooner or later, it will happen to all Pentax Series P and Series Z cameras. Look for a good example, that the seller can confirm is fully operational. The excuse, "I don't have any batteries to test it...." is just an excuse......pass that seller right by, unless you want to buy an attractive, but DEAD CAMERA! Look for a light ... Great little camera
its a great little camera. Auto focus doesn't seem to work but that's not really an issue since I can use the manual option and I'm just using the camera to take photo's at home or on trips

This camera is a real value, especially at current prices.
Film cameras still outperform digitals for serious photography. As I have grown older, I need autofocus, but still have all my older lenses. Pentax allows me to use the newer cameras without having to update all my glass. The PZ-70 is one of the finest cameras available. It allows me full control for my artistic talents, but also allows for automatic use when I want a point-and-shoot. The quartz date back gives me better organization and photo history. Film camera bodies have taken quite a loss in price, but not in value. This camera represents a real value for the price.Film cameras still outperform digitals for serious photography. Can't Beat Pentax
This is the second PZ-70( also own a K 1000, 2 Super Programs and a A3000), I bought another for my wife due to the ease of operation. The auto focus feature is great. I am also partial to Pentax SLR's, I do plan going digital with Pentax, all the lenses from K Mount A's all the way the new Auto Focus / Auto Zoom work with all Pentax cameras.
