Notes
Reissue. Lean into It is the second studio album by the hard rock supergroup Mr. Big, released in March 26, 1991. The band's breakthrough release, Lean into It peaked at #15 on the Billboard 200 charts, while the single "To Be with You" became the band's first and only song to hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The follow-up single, "Just Take My Heart", was another Top 40 hit, peaking at #16 on the Billboard Hot 100. "Daddy, Brother, Lover, Little Boy" features Gilbert and Sheehan running Makita cordless drills over their guitar strings in harmony to create an unusually fast solo which is likely not possible to replicate with hands. The cover image is a picture from the Montparnasse train accident that occurred on October 22, 1895 in Gare Montparnasse station in Paris, France.

    Mr Big Lean Into It

Be With You is the hit song, but the remainder of the album is fantastic. If you fancy bands like Tesla, Firehouse, Europe, Great White, and Steelheart, you’ll love Mr. Big as well. Highly recommended.

  • A very stout 2nd release by a great band

This sophomore release from Mr. Big is a very well written, lyrically and musically stout cd. There simply isn't a bad song on this. I happen to like the debut self titled one from 1989 (also see my review of it) just a bit better, but its a toss up on which one is actually better. I remember when this came out, I and a lot of other friends of mine thought that this band was really gonna be big. Too bad they really didn't put a bunch of stuff out over the years since, but what music they did make together is absolutely classic rock n roll. Also, if your curious, Paul Gilbert has done some great work over the years with Dream Theater's drummer Mike Portnoy on great covers side projects like "Hammer of the Gods" (Zep covers), "Amazing Journey" (The Who covers), "Yellow Matter Custard" ...

  • Mr. Big-Lean Into It

This is Mr. Big's second cd and is the best one, comercially, that they have released. I like it more han most of the other ones that they have released too though. The first one titled just "Mr. Big" has some really good songs that this one does not have, but this one also has some good songs that the other one doesn't have. This cd has the most popular song, comercially that they have done titled "To Be With You". The whole cd is excellent though, with a very good guitarist with a Steve Vai type of feel to him. If you want any Mr. Big cd, this is one of the first ones that you should get.

  • Mr. Big's Biggest

This is one of Paul Gilberts best efforts, IMHO, flawless metal riffs set seamlessly into ballad-like tunes disguised as love songs ! ! ! I bought this record because I'm a guitar player, and as such, I like to find great musicianship. Once again, Gilbert makes me wonder why I even try to cop his licks.....He's always on fire.
