    The "starbucks" of coffee makers

    Absolutely the most fabulous maker, If you can find one BUY IT. Dear Krups, WHY did you stop making this? My first one lasted 8 years,looking forward to another long relationship! the "Aroma control" feature stepps the coffee just right and the decanter holds it hot for a couple hours,last cup good as the first, not to mention it makes a full pot extemely fast...If i find another one "new" I am sure to buy it and save it till 2019 !

    Krups Aroma Control Coffee Maker Thermal Pot

    I decided to buy this coffee maker because of the thermal pot. I was tired of having burnt coffee from sitting on the "warmer" tray. The coffee pot makes the coffee super fast, very hot, very quietly as well as makes a great pot of coffee. The thermal pot keeps the coffee hot for a good 3-4 hours then stays fairly warm for a couple of more hours. Once the coffee is made, leave the pot on the counter (not under the drip filter) simply because the top lid of the pot is pushed downward when sitting on the coffee maker and the heat of the coffee escapes through the lid. I would recommend this pot to everyone. Now for the minor negatives: The lid can be difficult to find the "starting" place to screw it on. Once you find it, it's easy to screw on. You have to unscrew the lid 1/4 turn ...

    Krups Aroma Control 229 10-Cup Coffee carafe

    Overall this is a nice thermal carafe with metal liner. It is definitely much better than the glass, which explodes for no apparent reason. (Which is why I had to buy this one) The handle is not as sturdy as the all plastic carafe though. The opening makes it easy to clean. The lid can be difficult to screw on evenly, and it is sometimes difficult to unscrew. This style keeps the coffee hotter than the glass. If you season it with hot water before brewing, and remove it from the coffee maker as soon as it is done, it will keep it hotter longer.
