Hello! I LOVE my camera!! My best friend has a Sony DSC-H10 and I saw some of the pictures she was taking and they were beautiful. I had always been a Fuji fan until I started shooting with her Sony. I had tried several times to win the bid on one on ebay. I finally got it. Just the camera and battery. Nothing else. The day it arrived I was so excited!! I was in hopes that it would take just as good a picture as my best friend's. The next day I had to help with a friend's grandaughter's birthday party so this would be my moment of truth for the Sony. I had reservations about it. I carried my Fuji too. Just in case. Well, the party was at Pizza Hut. We were getting ready. I took a few shots. The pictures looked OK. Then I went outside to grab some more gear and my nieghbor pulled up in his truck. (all of our kids went to school together) He had his 5 year old grand daughter with him. I did not have 1 picture of her. She's just precious. I asked him to wait a second and let me set up my tripod so I could take a picture of them together. I rolled off 3 shots of them. I told Emma,( the grand daughter that I would see her tommorrow.) Of course we got lots of hugs and kisses and they left. Now don't leave me just yet, pay attention, please. The next day was Emma's grand mothers birthday.(Beth). When I downloaded the pictures all 3 were just beautiful! The lighting was right, the subjects were right, the shots were fantastic! I edited them and put the 2 best pics in frames. I called Beth's house and her husband answered the phone. I asked him if he had said anything about me taking the pictures, he said "no." I told him I would be there in a minute. I drove up the road and pulled in the drive. I knocked on the door and we had the usual hug. (we're BIG HUGGERS around here) I had a party bag with the pictures of Grandpa and Emma in the frames. I handed it to Beth and said,"Happy Birthday!" When she saw the pictures, she welled up with tears and actually choked up. Then we all started to well up with happy tears because it was a total surprise to her. Those 3 shots captured grandpa and grand daughter with so much love for each other, the only thing you could've done, was to share them!! I will never forget those 3 shots. If I ever lose the pictures themselves, I will still have it in my mind. Forever. It makes a person feel that there is still something that you can do to put a smile on someone's face. I have to tell you that if I had NOT had the DSC-H3 Sony, I would never gotten a picture that had so much emotion! So, that's my story! I hope you liked it. Thank you for considering my review. This is a great little camera. Since then, I have purchased the Sony DSC-H50 9.1 mp. When I grow up, I want a Sony a50. THE BIG ONE!! Smile, Smile,Smile!! LouRead full review
A great buy with lots of features and benefits. The continuous shoot feature is great for catching kids in the moment. The screen size is really great and the picture is good also. Love this camera.
I love the quality picture even though it's just 8.1 megapix, the clarity is still excellent. The sports mode are the best, it's gives you all the fine pose you wanna get, and it's fast for a beginner. This is great even with snow picture taking. I love it.
