This specific version had an initial release date of 2008 on PC and received an E rating for everyone 10 and up. As a zookeeper, it's up to you to build the best zoo imaginable. Not only do you set about creating aquariums and exhibits, but you will also need to keep the creatures and guests as happy as possible. Understanding what's necessary to achieve these goals will help you excel at this PC games collection. In "Zoo Tycoon," maintenance is extremely important to ongoing success and applies to everything from terrain and employees to scenery and finances. There are several different modes in which you can play in the "Ultimate Collection" of this video game. This includes Free Form mode, which is full of content and allows you to personally choose the type of park you wish to create. You're given unlimited money and have access to all items that are typically unlocked as you play the game. When caring for your animals throughout "Zoo Tycoon," you will need to provide each with food and water as well as shelter. Giving them toys and placing them in an area with an environment which is suitable for them ensures their happiness. There are many biomes available in "Zoo Tycoon" from boreal forest and grassland to tropical rainforest and savannah. In the standard single-player campaign, you get to select from different levels to play through where you will be given various goals to complete. These goals will become more difficult as the campaign goes on and can include anything from rescuing endangered creatures to training dolphins. As for the numerous expansion pack types you receive with the "Ultimate Edition" of these games, they offer a lot of additional content. "Endangered Species" offers rare creatures and new forms of transportation, while "African Adventure" provides new locations, items, and animals. The "Marine Mania" expansion provides 20 fascinating aquatic creatures and several additional challenges, and "Extinct Animals" offers 35 creatures while providing players with the means of discovering new fossils. One of the unique features within this "Ultimate Collection" pack allows players to create a super-animal from gathered fossils.

    windows game classic release

    bought game and installed on win 7 computer runs fine on win 7. I like that once installed no run disc is required anymore. The problem is it doesn't install properly in xp. A configuration error stops it from running (ps original zoo tycoon 2 from Microsoft runs no problem in xp on same computer. I also tried on win 10 computer with the exact specs as win 7 computer and it would not render video on win 10 computer. corrected problem by removing old nvidea drivers (card removed) as game was choosing them over r7 drivers that were installed. I hope they have solution for xp users as there are no real changes you can make while installing this software. If you have win 7 or 10 go ahead and buy but make sure old drivers completely uninstalled through control panel. I purchased Roller ...

    Not what I remember

    I played this game when it came out and wanted to try it again. I installed it on my computer and the software worked. After that, it hasn't worked. I reinstalled the software but it still doesn't work.

    Great Time Passer

    This works fine on Windows 10 , Graphics are okay. This game is a challenge , after designing your zoo, you have tasks you will have to do , like take samples from around the zoo to determine what has caused and illness and find a cure. On the original Zoo Tycoon all you did was fund research. Another Difference , you have to read about the animals and try to figure out the habitats and things they like, that part changed quite a bit from the original game however you have greater ability to design outstanding exhibits. I like this version a lot better and the best part is you can change the perspective and walk around the zoo and see it like you are actually there with the ability to look up and down a, open gates . Its a fun game I love it.!!

    Works Mostly Fine

    For some reason, Marine Mania tanks and things don't work. Haven't tried reinstalling yet. Other than that, which seems to be a common problem, everything looks fine. I used to play this game as a kid, and it's wonderful. Works fine on Windows 10.

    Perfect game!

    I really missed to play this game!! I've had it once on my old computer, but now that I ordered it again I can enjoy playing it again! I love every thing of the game. Really good graphics, gameplay and all those missions you can choose from, not to mention the animals! My favourite animal is the wolf there. I reccomend to play this game to everyone whos interested in zoo or animals overall!
