  • Doodlebug By irene Brady

It tells the story of a girl who goes through an amusing process while getting to know her new little horse. Eventually, she finds out that you don't always know a diamond, even if you hold it in your hand :) Once you read this book you will love it~ especially if you have ever bought a horse at auction or have owned a Hackney pony~ awesome illustrations ~ truley amazing breyer has not made a model of this pony!

  • One of the best horse books for kids

I read this book over and over as a kid (i am now in my thirties). The story is so engaging and endearing. The illustrations are of very good quality. In fact, the illustrations are so expressive and sincere, they stayed with me all these years. What a poignant story. Not too long, not too short; it's just right. I highly recommend this book.
