    Seachem V API

    I've used both. All I can say about API tabs is the nutrients are slightly better. When you(or your fish) accidentally dig up an API tab you get a nasty cloud followed by a nitrate spike in your tank. They just fall apart. Seachem tabs hold togather and you can just put it back in. The price for seachem tabs is far less too. About half as much. The plants do well with either however.

    Plants really took off when added

    I usually use dirt in my tanks but have one I didn't want to dirt - this stuff does the trick.
