Great series, get past the feeling it’s a children’s show from the Henson (Muppets) studios and this is great entertainment. Quirky Sci-Fi, loads of pop culture references and very witty banter. The whole show is very character driven, with a great cast and the various plot twist’s of the 4 seasons was brilliant. For science lovers it blends time travel and quantum theory to complicate the plot still further. If you don’t like the science, it’s still a series to treasure. This should rank high up there with Firefly as a series that should have been allowed to run. The only shame was the early cancelling in season 4, however due to fan pressure it was concluded in a mini series drawing plot arch’s to a satisfactory close. Synopsis (with no plot spoilers) - US anti-hero spaceman John Crichton whilst testing a new ship opens a wormhole ends up in a new universe and put onto a prison transport ship, the Leviathan (an organic life form with symbiotic pilot). The other prisoners make up differing life forms and ideologies, warrior, healer, etc. Now Crichton’s the alien, hunted by the Peacekeepers (human based military rulers) for the wormhole technology he’s had implanted in his subconscious.Read full review
Farscape is just one of those unforgettable, awesome tv series which you hate to see end, its only natural that I want to buy them all on dvd!!! The story line is always good from series 1 to the last mini series 5. The characters are lovable (even the bad guys!) and it has a bit of everything, comedy, romance, adventure... big explosions lol It's more then a Sci-fi.
This show is great the character's look amazing. The storylines of the episodes vary some are exelent some are not as good. The only problem with it is the terrible DVD release, why release 4-5 episodes per boxset, the show should have been released as a full season. Overall the series is great and any sci-fi fan should give it a try.
