Be sure they supply AC converter cord
Although product works OK with D batteries, it is very easy to inadvertently leave the light on, which obviously drains the battery. AC converter cord normally comes with the unit, but if not, I would not recommend this product.

It's an inexpensive viewer for when you need to identify your slides - - I have thousands of slides from the 1970s thru the nineties that are mostly not of interest and am looking to screen them down to maybe a few hundred to digitize and share with family. My carousel projector broke and I needed something for this project and was not prepare to spend a lot of money on a piece of equipment I would never need after it was done. This is fine for that purpose. Works great! good backlighting with the powercord. I wouldnt recommend using batteries. Others have said they are hard to install and I dont think they would work as well as with the power adapter cord.

Great when you have boxes of slides to go through!
Great for viewing hundreds of slides. It sometimes jams a little but is easy to fix. Jamming happens when slides are of different thicknesses.
