    Good Volume/Sound; Need Extra Steps to Set Up Any Add On Phones

    I've set up numerous cordless handsets of varying brands/models, but this is the first time EVER that I've had to go through a menu on the main phone in order to "register" the add on phone. The instructions did explain it and I was able to get it to work - however, every other cordless phone system I've worked with DID NOT REQUIRE any additional menu/button pushing to get the add on phone to register. All I've done with the past phone systems is plug in the main unit, wait for it to "register", then plug in the add on phone(s), and that's it. Not sure why this Panasonic KX-TGM450S requires all the extra steps to get the add on working, but thankfully, the phone's features are worth it; had to install this system in a relative's home due to their hearing issues, and now don't have to ...

    VOICE ECHO problem :-(

    I really liked ALL the features of the KXTGM450S but was unable to use it BECAUSE I was unable to make it work properly. Problem being MY voice echo. Caller did not hear the echo - only on my end! I"m keeping it in hopes I will SOON meet someone who can help me. Until that day arrives, I will go back to my old Panasonic...

    KX-TGM450S "Good Sound"

    This phone sound's so much better than the Clarity brand phone I bought. This is definitely the better one to buy. Wish somebody had posted this before I had wasted my money on the first purchase.

    Amplified Panasonic Cordless Phone

    First it is a KX-TGM420-W and not a KX-TGM450-W. The 450 amplify up to 50 dB and the 420 amplify up to 40 dB. Good unit and works very well. It will meet our needs and can not ask for more than that. On one review I read it said that it is too complicated, no it is not. It is a very powerful unit and can be configured many different ways. The manual is straight forward and plain language. You must read it to be happy with the way it works.
