Only a few bands can put together music like this, with a mix of bass, drums and guitar all playing together in long evolving melodies- one of the songs seems to add new riffs that blend in so well they could have stood on their own as major parts of most bands songs, but you don't hear them until you're already 10 minutes into the song. And Jambi, the solo has one of the best uses of wah/voice like tones I've ever heard, and the vocals are great. A few songs never seem to really get off the ground, but that can happen- this is tool- I still give it 5 stars, as it always seems to be near the top of the stack of CD's in my car.
Great music. Cool cd cover with 3-D glasses. Disc and box were in excellent condition.

from the fast breaking opener to the subtle undertow we've all come to expect from Maynard and the boys, this album rocks. With a subtle and fresh sound, they recreate themselves while staying true to what is expected from a tool album. Dark, gothic, and yes, even dangerous, this album seems to have more energy than the last, yet pushes with the same eerie style through the speakers and holds you tight while you check under the bed; don't turn the lights off, just turn the stereo up and invite someone over to watch your back. A+ effort. A must have for any Tool fan and a good place to start for a newcomer; "Undertow" still holds the title, but this album can definately hold its own.
Might not be Tool's best, but definitely very emotional due to several songs relating to the death of Maynard's mother a couple of years prior to the release of this project.

Trully a reflection of the times we're living in.A deep psycidellic bluesy look into the darker side of mans ever changing ever perversely corrupt physiological being.Twisting and turning it's way through the labyrinth of my psyche.Alot of my freinds don't appreciate entire album as well as i do.They mainly like the radio play'd tracs.Although it don't hold a candle to AENIMA Tools ultimatly best album yet. (thats my opinion any way) But on the other hand it' nearly impossable for an artist to out do a masterpeice.Overall it's not just an album it's an experience and the 3D discography on the CD booklet is very unique and original.I've never seen or heard of any creation like it in the history of music.Album art seems to of been a thing of the past but Tool hes brought it back in a big way.I bought this album because i'm a big fan of TOOL and i've got everything they've ever released in the past.I basicly bought it hearing but only one trac on the radio. Not only that but i've been waiting for years for a new album from TOOL.Read full review
