I recommend this game to dog-loving GBA players everywhere. The point of this game is to raise your puppy for 3 weeks. After this, you unlock "Always Together Mode" which is a puppy free play. In the normal mode however, your job is to take care of and train your puppy. In the beginning, you choose what kind of dog you would like: Its gender (boy or girl), demeanor (energetic or relaxed), and its size (small or large). Then you watch a small cutscene and pick your puppy. If you don't like the breeds in the first shop, you can continuously switch between pet shops. After that, you can train your puppy any way you please. In "Always Together Mode", you can do what you want when you want. No events take place, no one is there to talk to, just you and your puppy. Everything is unlocked as well. However in this mode, you can't take walks. The_PokesonRead full review
I used to have this game when I was little and I decided I wanted to relive those days, and it's just as I remember it, maybe even better. I would recommend this game to anyone who likes dogs and video games involving dogs. The box and everything inside were in near perfect condition the game cartridge was in perfect condition. It was a deal.

This game is a great game for any dog lover. It has so many breeds to choose from and it really can help you learn the responsibilites of having a puppy. The good thing is your child won't be devastated because the dog "died" or "ran away". Even if you don't feed it, always scold it, and never pay attention to it, it will NEVER die or runaway. Trust me, I played this game and since it didn't "die" or "run away" for me, it won't for you. Other popular games are: Nintendogs for Nintendo Ds Dogz 5 for a PC If you have a cat lover here are some reccommendations: Catz for Game boy advance sp Catz 5 for the Pc Or if you love both: Catz 5 Dogz for the Pc Note: In this game your dog stays a puppy forever, it can't get married and have puppies, :O( you can only have three dogs at a time (but in dif. games). PLUS! If you have a friend with the same game, you can play together in puppy visitin mode! I truly reccommend Dogz and Nintendogs for the Ds and PC more than this. Nintendogs definately has better pictures of the dogs and Dogz 5 for the Pc has the WORST. Although, if you want to have a dog that grows up and has puppies get DOGZ 5 for the PC!!!!!!!!!!!! Description Ubisoft’s DOGZ for the Game Boy Advance is similar to the popular NINTENDOGS for the DS. The game allows players to select, train, play with, and experience everything a real dog owner does. The game features 18 different breeds and 49 different dogs, giving players wide arrange of pets to choose from. Once they create their character and adopt a puppy, players can begin exploring the virtual neighborhood of the game with their new canine friend. They must feed, water, exercise, and clean up after their dog while training it to lie down, fetch, shake, and other tricks. Rewarded dogs will return their owner’s love and loyalty, while neglected puppies won’t be as cooperative or as friendly. In addition to the main game, three mini-games are also included: Run Puppy Run, Puppy Reversi, and Puppy Quiz, all of which include cuddly animals and fun gameplay. Players can also introduce their four-legged friend to others via the GBA link. In this visiting mode, two players can play with their dogs together. Plus, players can save up to three different dogs’ data to use in Always Together mode, an endless play mode where the only goal is to have fun. Dog lovers will fall in love with DOGZ and its amazingly lifelike, cute, and friendly canine companions. The joy of adopting, training, and loving a virtual pet is second only to having a live puppy to cuddle with. Special Features Adopt and raise a puppy of your own; features 49 different dogs across 18 popular breeds; control a main character in the game for more direct interaction with your puppy; more places to hang out with your puppy, including the living room, yard, kitchen and bedroom-even take your puppy for a walk on a leash; game includes 3 mini games: Puppy Run, Puppy Reversi and Puppy Quiz; lan cable connectivity allows your puppy to go visit your friends houses. I bought it for my girls but found that all 3 of my kids love this game. Their ages are 4,6,and 8. It is a little to advanced for my 4 yr old. It has a lot of reading in it, but she still plays just fine with a little help. My 6 and 8yr old does fine playing it with no help. I found one bad thing about it is that you can only have one game saved on it. If you don't have more than one child playing on one game boy it would be fine. My 2 girls share a game boy so they are always having to start over..lol. It is really cute, their are lots of puppies to choose from. You have to feed, water and care for it. If your child likes pets they will probably like this game.
I loved this game when I was a little kid, and I still find it very cute now. A fun game for anyone seeking a cute, easy experience and some nostalgia.
