The heavy book is almost 2" thick. It was shipped in a light-weight unpadded envelope. As received, the book binding side of the envelop was torn with the binding showing through. There is some damage to the exterior of the binding, but unfortunately, I no longer have access to the original posting and am unable to verify whether or not the damage was caused by the shipping. For $7.00 shipping, it would have been nice if a heavy duty padded envelop of a cardboard box had been used.

    Worth the investment

    I use mine for almost everything around the yard and at my manual labor job. They protect my hands and make things easier to grab. Suitable for things like: -shoveling/digging -axing -hauling materials -sledging -pulling up greenery -working with chain link fencing Great for a man's job!
